2D bar codes to enhance medicine tracking

Business Day (14 Nov 2024) reported that the Prosper Africa Tech for Trade Alliance has initiated a groundbreaking pilot project utilising 2D bar codes to enhance medicine tracking capabilities.
“2D bar codes store information vertically and horisontally, allowing them to hold more data.
“This innovative project aims to boost supply chain visibility, giving US pharmaceutical manufacturers confidence that their products are securely reaching their destinations. Thus, it will strengthen trade ties between the US and Africa.”

	3.1	access to, or disclosure of customer information will not be authorized without the documented commitment of the intended recipient so as to maintain confidentiality and the rightful use of such information;
	3.2	access to customer information by HEALTHMAN personnel, contract workers, consultants, service providers or suppliers will be restricted to the level of access needed to effectively perform delegated or contracted duties and/or the level of service needed to render a reliable and effective service to HEALTHMAN customers.
