Gauteng Health owes medical device suppliers over R650m of which R379.7m is debt older than 120 days. The NHLS owes three SAMED members over R44m and the SA Military Health Service R47.6m
Due to ongoing payment issues some members of the SA Medical Device Industry Association (SAMED) have ceased to supply the Government and instead focus entirely on the private sector.
