Adcock Ingram referred to Competition Tribunal

08 Jun 2026

The Competition Commission (CC) referred Adcock Ingram Critical Care (AICC) to the Competition Tribunal, alleging that it charged excessive prices for essential kidney dialysis products between July 2019 and June 2024.
The regulator claims AICC, a dominant supplier of renal replacement therapy products, priced peritoneal dialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy products well above their economic costs, potentially violating the Competition Act.
The Commission is seeking a declaration of wrongdoing and a penalty of up to 10% of annual turnover. – Business Day (4 June 2026).
