Head of Gauteng DoH under investigation

The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) is investigating the head of Gauteng Health, Lesiba Malotan, for alleged tender irregularities. - Sunday Times (15Dec 2024).
The accusationsinclude the rigging of two tenders in 2016 and 2017 and allegedly receiving R10m.
“AmaBhungane, based on claims made by a former service provider, brought these allegations to light last year.”
Malotana maintains his innocence and says the SIU has not contacted him.

3.	Access to Customer Information
	HEALTHMAN shall ensure that:
	3.1	access to, or disclosure of customer information will not be authorized without the documented commitment of the intended recipient so as to maintain confidentiality and the rightful use of such information;
	3.2	access to customer information by HEALTHMAN personnel, contract workers, consultants, service providers or suppliers will be restricted to the level of access needed to effectively perform delegated or contracted duties and/or the level of service needed to render a reliable and effective service to HEALTHMAN customers.

4.	Preventative Measures
	HEALTHMAN shall ensure that appropriate technical and organizational measures shall be taken against the unauthorized access, processing or disclosure of customer information
